The E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UNCTAD is organising a second briefing for Permanent Missions of ECOWAS Member States in Geneva on the Regional E-commerce Strategy Development Project. The objective of this meeting is to provide an update on the project, in particular with regard to the validation of the strategy during the 5th Regional Meeting on the development of the ECOWAS E-commerce Strategy on 20-21 March in Accra, Ghana.
As a background document, UNCTAD had prepared the eTrade Readiness Assessment of Member States of the Economic Community of West African States in 2022. The Regional E-commerce Strategy Development Project in ECOWAS is supported by the Government of the Netherlands as part of UNCTAD’s eT Ready Implementation Support Mechanism (ISM).
