The Resource Mobilization course is part of the UNCTAD Empowerment Programme for Trade Facilitation. Its objective is to equip National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) Members with the knowledge of drafting and implementing a Resource Mobilization Strategy for Trade Facilitation.
This is the first edition that has been delivered in French for NTFC members of Madagascar.
Upon successful completion of the course, NTFC members have gained understanding of the critical role that a strong resource mobilization strategy plays in ensuring an NTFC’s long-term success. Practitioners have also learned the key phases required in building this efficient Resource Mobilization Strategy, including defining the roles and responsibilities within the strategy, obtaining and allocating the resources appropriately, identifying and negotiating with the right donors, amongst various other key aspects.
The closing ceremony will summarize the key concepts that trade facilitation practitioners have learned during this Resource Mobilization course; will present and award the efforts of the best participants; and will further analyze how resource mobilization can enhance the work of a National Trade Facilitation Committee.
