The Resource Mobilization course is part of the UNCTAD Empowerment Programme for Trade Facilitation. Its objective is to equip National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) Members with the knowledge of drafting and implementing a Resource Mobilization Strategy for Trade Facilitation.

Following the editions in English and French, this is the first edition delivered in Spanish for NTFC members from Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras, and Peru.

Upon successful completion of the course, NTFC members have gained understanding of the critical role a strong resource mobilization strategy plays in ensuring an NTFC’s long-term success. Practitioners have also learned the key phases required in building this efficient resource mobilization strategy, including defining the roles and responsibilities within the strategy, obtaining and allocating the resources appropriately, identifying and negotiating with the right donors, among various other aspects.

The closing ceremony will summarize the key concepts learned during the course, present and award the efforts of the participants, and further explore how resource mobilization can enhance the work of National Trade Facilitation Committees. It will also highlight how the UNCTAD Reform Tracker digital tool can significantly assist them in this endeavor.
