Empretec is a flagship programme of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on facilitation of entrepreneurship skills and motivation based on a behavioural approach to entrepreneurship. During the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) 2018 which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, UNCTAD will organize its fifth edition of the Empretec Global Summit (GES) following its launch five years ago during GEC 2014 in Moscow. As in previous editions, the GES V will provide attendees with an unique opportunity to learn more about the Empretec mind set changing methodology; explore and establish cross-border business links throughout the global Empretec network of about 400,000 entrepreneurs in more than 40 Empretec national centers in the UNCTAD’s member States. This year it will also discuss the specific role that the Empretec methodology can play on bonding different groups of local population, including migrants, through its tools on entrepreneurship and business facilitation.
Target Audiences will include entrepreneurs attending the GEC 2018, Empretec Directors, lead agencies and experts in the area of entrepreneurship and its role of addressing issues of migration.
