As part of an ongoing effort to enhance Cambodia’s trade competitiveness and deepen understanding of key trade facilitation tools, the Ministry of Commerce, together with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is organizing an Executive Training on Using Preferential Trade Arrangements and Trade Facilitating Practices of Operational Certification Procedures in Cambodia.

These intensive, two-day workshop bring together trade experts, government officials, customs representatives, and private sector participants to explore the technical, operational, and strategic aspects of rules of origin (RoO) and compliance under various Preferential Trade Arrangements (PTAs). Sessions will cover both general and sector-specific rules, operational certification procedures (OCPs), and best practices for improving utilization rates.

Participants will engage in interactive discussions, practical exercises, and breakout sessions designed to translate complex trade policy topics into actionable knowledge tailored to Cambodia’s economic context.

These trainings represent a significant step in building local capacity and aligning national trade practices with international standards, paving the way for more efficient, secure, and beneficial cross-border trade.
