UNCTAD is organizing together with the UPU, ITC and Consumers International a joint mission from 2 to 6 March in Abidjan to undertake multi-stakeholders’ consultations in view of the conduct of the eTrade Readiness Assessment of Côte d’Ivoire (eT Ready).

This is the second eT Ready for a non LDC, UNCTAD is preparing and the 8th eT Ready in the ECOWAS region.
Both the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Post of Côte d’Ivoire are involved in the assessment, which will kick off with a high-level policy dialogue bringing together about 200 public and private sector representatives to discuss measures needed to unlock the potential of e-commerce for development.

A series of thematic discussions on the main policy areas related to e-commerce will follow, for which more than 100 people have confirmed their participation. A roundtable discussion with development partners is also scheduled on Friday, 6 March, to present the programme and discuss potential collaborations in the area of e-commerce.
