Body

Issues of science, technology and innovation remain endemic to development and furthering our understanding on these issues is a core challenge for policy research.

The Technology and Innovation Report series seeks to address issues in science, technology and innovation that are topical and important for developing countries in a comprehensive way with an emphasis on policy-relevant analysis and conclusions.

The 2025 edition of the Technology and Innovation Report, entitled: Inclusive artificial intelligence for development, aims to guide policymakers through the complex AI landscape and support them in designing science, technology and innovation policies that foster inclusive and equitable technological progress.

The Report identifies three key leverage points - infrastructure, data, and skills - offering a broad socioeconomic perspective on AI while analysing requirements and policies to promote sustainable industrialization and innovation.

The Report is under embargo until 12:30 (GMT)
08:30 (New York) | 14:30 (Geneva) on 3 April 2025
