Chisinau
, Republic of Moldova

Several interested stakeholders working to promote sustainable agriculture in the Republic of Moldova, met on 23 January at the EcoVisio office for discussions on how to coordinate their efforts and contribute to implementation of the action plan in the organic agriculture sector (including honey, walnuts and cereals), adopted by national stakeholders in the NGER. The group decided to extend their circle and meet every three months to monitor progress.

Participants included bilateral donors from Liechtenstein Development Service, the Global Environment Facility; the People in Need Association working on behalf of the Czech Development Agency; Moldovan Organic Value Chain Alliance (MOVCA); EcoVisio Association and UNCTAD. The meeting was facilitated by the NGER project’s national experts.

The NGER Report of the Republic of Moldova is available online in its original English as well as an unofficial translation in Romanian.
