Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) hinder governments’ efforts to mobilize resources for long-term development projects. They could impede the endeavors for effective economic transformation to unfold on the continent. Although many African countries have taken steps to tackle IFFs, key policies in this regard remain under-implemented by most countries.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen statistical capacities to measure tax and commercial IFFs and to develop evidence-based policy responses to curb IFFs.
As part of the policy implementation, this workshop intends to discuss the implementation of targeted policy options by utilizing data from the statistical measurement of IFFs in Namibia.
The audience of the workshop will be the technical working group from various agencies, which will discuss the measurement results and the implementation of targeted policy options for Namibia.
