The workshop aims to foster a common understanding of regional trade facilitation instruments and initiatives within ECOWAS, as well as to share best practices.
The following sessions will be conducted during the workshop:
- Session 4: Digitization of Trade Procedures to Support Intra-Regional Trade
- Session 5: Border Agency Cooperation and Integrated Risk Management at Borders
- Session 6: Promoting Inclusive Trade and Resilience in West Africa: Gender and Climate Change Perspectives in Trade Facilitation Reforms
These sessions are thoughtfully tailored to enhance the UNCTAD Empowerment Programme’s e-learning experience.
They aim to foster active participation by encouraging the development of proposals, identifying opportunities to advance ECOWAS regional trade facilitation initiatives and tools, and promoting the integration of trade facilitation reforms undertaken by National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs) within the region.
Participating countries:
15 ECOWAS member States and ECOWAS Commission (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo).
