The government of Burkina Faso has drawn up and adopted the National Economic and Social Development Plan (PNDES-2016-2020) and then the National Development Reference Framework (RND-2021-2025) to promote economic and social development and reduce poverty and inequality.
There are also other ambitious initiatives. Despite all the efforts made by successive governments, the challenge remains.
With this in mind, UNCTAD is organising a virtual seminar to identify the most effective policies for reducing poverty and inequality.
