Trade policy formulation and implementation is a challenging exercise, especially amid the growing uncertainty and unpredictability in today's global trade environment and rising geopolitical tensions. For policymakers, the ability to make informed, strategic decisions has never been more critical.

This seminar addresses the needs of young government officials from Republic of Korea seeks to equip them with the knowledge and skills to navigate key policy areas at the interface of trade and development, such as non-reciprocal trade preferences, non-tariff measures (NTMs), foreign direct investment (FDI), competition and consumer protection policies-all of which are essential for driving a country's socio-economic development.

By building expertise in these areas, young officials will be empowered to make strategic decisions that support their national development goals and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
