In the context of UNCTAD's project "Technology assessment in the energy and agricultural sectors in Africa to accelerate progress on Science, Technology and Innovation'', and at the request of the Government of the Seychelles, a review will be undertaken of STI policies, STI capacity and STI system in Seychelles. The workshop’s objective is support the implementation of the Technology Assessment (TA) project in Seychelles through an improved understanding of the relevant policy and systemic challenges identified in the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP) Review that will be part of the TA exercise of the country.
The workshop will be focusing on elaborating the following:
- Purpose of STI Policy Review
- Achievements and Challenges of Current STI Policy
- Landscape of STI Policy globally
- Assessing the Knowledge and Integration of the current STI Policy objectives
- Presentation and summary of Group work
