This workshop, co-organized by the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and UNCTAD, is part of a three-year project funded by the United Nation's Development Account aiming to favor the development of regional value chains (RVCs) in Southern Africa and strengthen industrial policy capacity.
Participating countries have endorsed a set of specific policy measures stemming out from a series of background studies to promote the development of agro-processing and mining machinery RVCs in the region and build a common platform for energy sustainability.
This workshop aims to equip Mozambican policymakers with knowledge of the key policies that could accelerate the gradual transformation of the economic structure, posing specific attention to the set of policies identified and endorsed in the framework of the project.
