The E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Trinidad and Tobago are organizing a validation workshop for the E-commerce Strategy of Trinidad and Tobago on 10 December 2024.

This workshop is a key milestone in the development of Trinidad and Tobago's E-commerce Strategy. It brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from government, private sector, academia, civil society, and development partners, to review and validate the draft strategy. The inclusive approach ensures that the perspectives of all relevant actors are incorporated, fostering broad ownership and paving the way for effective implementation once the strategy is endorsed.

The E-commerce Strategy is built upon insights and recommendations from the eTrade Readiness Assessment for Trinidad and Tobago. Its development has been a collaborative effort, carried out in partnership with eTrade for all stakeholders, the UN Resident Coordinator Office, and other key partners.

This initiative is supported by funding from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, along with contributions from the E-commerce and Digital Economy Programme Core Donors, including Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
