The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has a project promoting technology assessment (TA) in the energy and agricultural sectors in Africa to accelerate progress in science, technology and innovation. The project has recently gained momentum as the three countries have formed and two have convened their steering committee and expert group.
In preparation for the in-person workshop in South Africa, this virtual event provides an opportunity to take stock of the work undertaken so far and to share experiences on the project implementation, the challenges faced and the lessons learned.
