Gender-responsive trade policies require sound national statistics. To develop a coherent approach to measuring gender, entrepreneurship and trade using official statistics, and building on the existing statistical data and capacity of countries, UNCTAD, UNECE and UNECA launched the project "Data and statistics for more gender-responsive trade policies in Africa, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia”. During this session, pioneering countries will present progress on linking gender, entrepreneurship and trade. The session also presented the goals of the new project to spearhead a dialogue among trade and statistics communities.
