20 - 21 June 2024
Online
Geneva and Addis Ababa

The workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the creative economy, its impact on the Sustainable Development Goals, and the key trends shaping creative industries. It also focuses on policy considerations to strengthen the sector and raise awareness about the economic development opportunities presented by the creative economy in Ethiopia. The main objectives are to increase awareness and knowledge among public sector stakeholders about global trends and impacts of creative industries, enhance their ability to identify and assess key creative industries, and build capacities to formulate and implement strategies and policies to promote creative industries.

The workshop aims to enhance the capacity of Ethiopia’s government institutions to facilitate the growth of creative industries and leverage the country’s rich creativity and culture-based traditions. Participants include officials from Ethiopia’s government institutions, representatives from its creative industries, and other private sector participants.
