UNCTAD will feature its work at the 7 June workshop on cotton by-products, part of WTO Cotton Days, which run from 4-7 June. UNCTAD’s contribution will include presentations by staff, country experts and partners, drawn from the experience of United Nations Development Account Project 1617K on “Promoting cotton by-products in Eastern and Southern Africa”. UNCTAD is implementing the project in Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, from 2016 to 2019. UNCTAD’s project experience and contributions to WTO Cotton Days form part of its commitment to the new WTO-UNCTAD-ITC joint initiative on cotton by-products, which the three agencies will present at the 7 June workshop.
