UNCTAD offers online courses on trade and gender to a broad range of stakeholders from member countries.
Through its e-learning programme, UNCTAD equips participants with the knowledge to analyse the two-way relationship between trade and gender, and to formulate gender-equitable policies.
In the standard online course, participants learn about the trade and gender nexus using UNCTAD’s teaching manual along with multimedia lectures, supplementary readings and practical exercises under the guidance of both a tutor and a technical assistant.
Courses provide opportunities for participants to further enhance their knowledge and to build their professional networks through interactions via an online discussion platform.
To complement and enrich the standard course manual, the portfolio of teaching resources includes regionally-tailored teaching modules and online courses adapted to the needs and contexts of specific regions. UNCTAD continues to develop teaching resources focused on selected topics of relevance for the analysis of the trade and gender nexus.
Activities under the capacity-building initiative on trade and gender are generously supported by the Government of Finland.
