UN General Assembly resolution 77/22 requests UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to report on economic development in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the economic costs of the Israeli occupation for the Palestinian people.

For nearly four decades, we have also supported the Palestinian people through policy-oriented research, capacity-building and technical cooperation projects in partnership with public and private sector institutions and civil society.

 

Assistance to the Palestinian people

This annual report provides an update on developments in the economy of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and its long-term prospects, as well as looking at Israel's policies and associated obstacles to trade and development there.

The report is discussed at the annual session of the Trade and Development Board in Geneva.
